Why the Vikings won today.
Shortly after the Vikings won their sixth straight game, I caught championship fervor. In an ecstatic state of transcendental bliss I spent an hour or two scouring the internet for an action photo which typified my oneness and feelings of football zen. I discovered a beautiful picture of Mr. Moss being tackled by two Bronco's. In the picture he was falling backward while lobbing the ball over his shoulder. This was a no-look dime to Moe Williams of which Magic Johnson wished he were capable. I quickly decided that this was the pictured that encompassed all of my feelings. It was soon in my sig line.

For this sin of pride and vanity, for which I was punished,by Karma, with a four game losing streak. My feelings of imminent victory vanished. They were replaced by feelings of imminent loss. I meditated on these feelings and realized my mistake. I removed the vainglorious photo from my sig line. The Vikings won. That is why.

Either that or it was because they made a commitment to the run and were playing the Lions.

2. This is going to boost the team's confidence.
I think we have a good shot at St. Louis next week. I think 10-6 will win the division. So if we go 3-2 the rest of the way, we clinch the division. Our remaining games are at the Rams, against the Seahawks, at the Bears, against the Chiefs and at the Cardinals. I think the Bears and Cardinals games are good shots at wins. the Seahawks game seems like a good possibility, also.

Like I said, 10-6 means a division title and a home playoff game.

8. They are now close to all-time road losing record. They will get it.
Ah, my Lions. My first game, 1962, with my dear departed Uncle Bob, at Tiger Stadium. They beat the Pack, and sacked Bart Starr like 9 times. Been downhill ever since. One playoff win in 47 years; the "coach killer" franchise. Even Barry couldn't move them forward. The worst sports franchise in 47 years. Don't live it up, Vikings fans.

9. "The worst sports franchise in 47 years..." HUH?
There's a baseball team that's worse than the Lions. I think they call them the 'Tigers,' but I'm not sure.

OK, What have the Lions done in that time?

7. Yes, they did not really distinguish themselves
They probably will win the division, though, then get trounced in the first round.

I have never been a Culpepper fan, but I don't agree with the heat he has been taking lately and the boos today.
