What's the temperature outside where you live?
Have you had to bring in plants and secure water pipes?

Where do you put all those plants when you bring them in?
(I have a 9' tall, 5' diameter potted fan palm. Where will I put it?)

Here in the rhinestone in the buckle of the bible belt, it's 75 degrees tonight, but it's supposed to be 27 degrees in the morning. I'm running the AC tonight and will transition to heat by tomorrow AM.

How hot or cold is it where you live? :hi:

1. In LA
I'd guess low 60s, high 50s.

There was frost on my lawn this morning, a first for the season.

4. Warmest November ever in Berlin (15°C/ 59°F)
6°C/43°F at night.

I had to bring the plants in last months, when it was around (0°C/30°;-5°C/23°F). I won't bring them back up again (stored them in the basement; I'm living in a 4th story appartment with no elevator.) for a few weeks.

5. At midnight tonight, 40 degrees colder than it was at noon.
It was 62 at noon, and will be 22 at midnight. The Midwest is the only place in the country where you can wear shorts and flip-flops when you get up, and be wearing a parka by bedtime. :eyes:

7. snow, snow, and did I mention snow?
In Minneapolis it's been snowing for the past 24 hours or so.
It's 19 degrees here currently, with windchill it feels like 4. Seems like quite a few inches of buildup outside right now, many cars are just white puffy mounds. Forecast says more snow Monday & Tuesday mornings.

I haven't taken in my air conditioners yet, either. Guess I'd better get right on that. I live in an apartment without a patio, so all my plants are in here with me. It's like a jungle in here. I'm sure you'll find room for your palm somewhere!

42. Agreed! I've spent November saying 20C/68F was too warm for Colorado
for November.

It's finally snowing and getting cold, but it won't last.

The climate changes are worrying.

If you live above or below the tropics and you're complaining about the weather being cold, you need to consider moving and dealing with the heat in the summer or migrating.

Cold winters are the price we pay for a stable climate and a 23 degree tilt to the axis.

50. VelmaD told me about it.
I would love to but I am deer hunting that weekend. I only have 1 so far this year and I need to get at least 2 more so I can have some jalapeno sausage made at Klein's and have an Austin area DU gathering at my house in Taylor with deer meat specialties. I will let you guys know after I get the deer meat back. Hard salami, jalapeno sausage wraps, and cubed deermeat with jalapeno in the middle wrapped in bacon marinated in Lawry's garlic herb marinade cooked over charcoal. Maybe New Years or Super Bowl time frame. I will keep you guys informed. Skittles is invited too even though she doesn't like hunting.

Nothing out of the ordinary.

We don't worry about such things as frozen pipes. We're well equipped for Winter.

BTW, the plants have been in for a couple of weeks.

I'm diggin' it. I've lived all over the country and prefer the climate in the Midwest above all other places. I'll take the good with the bad.

But 22 with a little snow? No biggie.
