1. But is your life?
Nowhere is it written that we have to love what we do to put food on our tables. I'd be willing to bet most of us just tolerate our jobs - those who truly love them and find spiritual fulfillment are lucky. I find no spiritual fulfillment in my job per se but I do find fulfillment in doing it to the best of my ability. And I find spiritual fulfillment in how I live my life, relate to my fellow man and my environment, and in my hope to leave the world a little better because of what I do in that life.

Just my 2 cents.

5. yes, in general it is
and I appreciate the sentiment of your post.

It just bothers me sometimes that I am compelled to spend the vast majority of my waking hours doing tedious, soul-crushing paperwork that doesn't amount to anything at the end of the day. I'm barely inspired to bother trying to do even a half-decent job anymore. It's probably mostly my fault, for lacking ambition and/or self-motivation...but wow, do I ever get bored at work! But, hell, it's very nearly a living...almost.

7. resistance is futile!
I'm glad to have one myself...but still I resent having to have one.

Mostly I'm bored today.

6. A job worth doing is a job worth doing well
Other than that, I look elsewhere for spiritual succor.

9. playing music is probably the most spiritually fulfilling thing I do
and if I ever wind up making a living at it, I guess I'll have to quit complaining.

13. Yeah I hear ya,
It's really hard to get a decent pay check. But it gives me the satisfaction my regular job doese not (although I do like what I do, to a point).

10. Do you find it to be financially fulfilling?
Because that's what a job is about

11. not really, no
but it pays some of the bills, and I generally eat pretty well. And it's the best paying job I've ever had, too. So I can't really complain on that front.
