You heart starts to pump hard, your breathing increases...
...your palms get all sweaty, you begin to experience hot flashes, when you realize you have done the worst thing of your life. What do you do to fix your mistakes?

1. Well...the first thing is to own up to it.
To fix things, you have to take responsibility for them.

Usually, from there, the solution is tough to carry out, but you know what it is.

2. my usual "m.o."
is to completely lose it on the inside...replaying the scenario over and over in my head, etching the regret further and further into my psyche, all the while maintaining an outward composure that totally belies my predicament...i vow to never do it again, and then i go back to kicking my own ass over and over...very interesting thread...thank you for making my proverbial wheels turn...i have the gift/problem of being able to seemingly save the entires worlds problems, just none of my own...i will think about this all night now...wait...all morning now :)

3. I am petty much the same way...
...I will completely lose it on the inside, and then after a few days of that, and not sleeping, I will completely lose it on the outside, and just fall down in a blubbering mess, crying my eyes out.

4. are you ok?
did ya actually do something and you are in the middle of the "process" as we speak/type/read???

no need for disclosure i just wanted to say: hang in there, you'll be fine, and i too hit that point where i'll curl up in ball and just want to hide, or i will totally over-compensate and go completely overboard (if there is such a thing) doing things that i fell will karmically (is that a word) set my self back on the right path...

there are many shades to this in my heart and mind, ya know what i mean? things you've said, things you've done that were a mistake, things you may get caught for doing, things that you feel are stupid, butmay not be, outright crimes, betrayals to yourself or others...

whichever one it is (if it even occured), know that you are a good person that made a mistake, and try not to beat yourself up so much like i would/will...i feel like i am due for a real "clunker" any day now ;)

hanging in there to do something else just as dumb down the road is key! :)

5. I'm as ok as I am going to be...
...thank you for asking.

Yes I have done something that I regret. I am now going through the process of trying to fix a complete mess, but without much luck. I am also going through all the emotions that come with what I am experiencing at the minute.
