So, thanks to "The MAN" I don't have money for Xmas gifts.
It cost me $276 to renew my car insurance... $100 for my medical premiums. So, that was my spare money and now I am broke.

Thanks alot government of BC.
I think I'm going to write them a letter telling them to get fucked.

3. That works, too!
I'm no good at crafts. I have written poems and made handmade cards with no craftiness involved, though.

Hope you don't have too much shopping to do. :scared:

6. For adults in my life I made candles...
I make candles on the side anyway and giving a few away wasnt a big deal. Really easy to make and most people love them.

I hear ya though.. just spent 300 on reinstating my hubbys car insurance - my house is under construction and I lost the bill and thought I paid it cuz I couldnt find it. Turns out I didnt and they cancelled it. Had to pay 300 bucks to get it put back on. Screw bills.

13. There's one in Kelowna
in the Orchard Park Mall. Also, try thrift/consignment stores. It's amazing the neat stuff you can find.

9. Time to get creative
I have given people books or CDs from my collection that I liked and thought that they would like, for example. I knew I could always buy them again someday when I had more money. A promise to help with a project or a chore can also be a gift.

11. You had no intention of buying gifts for anyone.
If you did, I'd already have mine. Isn't that so? }(

12. how much car insurance is that?
six months, or a year? Is it liability only? I do not own a car, but when I did it was about $350 for a year's liability, but I am over 40.

14. Whaddya expect?? The PC's are in power there...
Although I've heard that it's a better situation in BC than in Alberta right now. They want to privatize everything there.

18. why do I always pick the provinces with the medical premiums?
Yes, I guess I'm about due for that little bundle of joy from the MSF. (And if I moved back to Ontario, it would be the same story from OHIP.)

19. I have about 60 bucks for everyone, and the car's acting up.
So that's great. Luckily I already bought my kid 4 or 5 things already.

Looks like it's the dollar store for everyone else and hoping the car holds out another month. Sigh.

I think we both should remember this feeling and start buying one gift a month or something so we're not last minute....um....lastminuters.
