Tom Cruise fans - why do you think he left Nicole?
TOM CRUISE: I CAN'T STOP LOVING NICOLE

<http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/allnews/page.cfm?objectid=13655105&method=full&siteid=50143>

snip>
"THEY have lived together for nearly two years, they happily cuddle each other for photographers and he says he loves her.

But this week Tom Cruise publicly warned girlfriend Penelope Cruz not to expect a wedding ring from him in the near future."

snip>
"The 41-year-old actor, who shares custody of his two children with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman, hinted where his heart still lies, saying: "I have always loved Nic and I always will. Always. That will never change - the times that we have had together."

snip>
"He has always maintained that Nicole Kidman knew "exactly" why he was dumping her, insisting: "What happened between Nic and I is very personal and is only between us."

I think that he thought the baby Nicole was carrying was not his so he left her. What do you all think?

4. You could be right, I remember reading where she said she did not
share his religious views and did not want her children exposed to it.

8. He left because no matter how often he referred to her as Nic....
...she would never be the man that he always wanted.

6. They were together for about 9 years.
The reason he broke up with her is because after 10 years together, in California, you have to give up half your estate to the other upon divorce. He was just looking out for number 1.

10. Not quite right ...
In California the combined 'estate' is divided, and after 10 years the 'supported' spouse is eligible for "long term spousal support" ... in many ways a never-ending gravy train sucking the blood from the more successful spouse.

7. It wasn't his baby, and he had too much class to slag her about it.

I could tell by the way Nicole was *everywhere* throughout the whole thing, and the media falling all over poor wittle Nicole, that she was the one who fucked it up.

My opinion of Tom Cruise went up slightly when he didn't say *a word* about it. I don't know if I expected him to go on Howard Stern and start chatting it up, but I thought better of him for not saying anything.

I don't buy the religion thing, because the kids aren't 2 months old. They'd obviously had to deal with that for some years. The baby was the straw that broke the camel's back, IMO.

Yes, this is all ridiculous gossip and I don't know either of them. Eh, I like talking about celebrities.

12. Because Tom was in a pernicious, ridiculous, money-scamming cult
Scientology is pure evil.

I'm guessing Nicole had had enough of it.

14. She LEFT Him--because she wanted sex!
She went an awful long time not getting any in that marriage.

And no, there was never any baby she miscarried--what a load of hooey--just lies for the press to lap up.

20. Obviously
because he is a complete idiot.

She is attractive, tall, red-haired, and ooh that aussie accent!

* disclaimer - I've never actually met her, so she could be hell-on-earth to live with, but I doubt it, so he musta been an idiot. :D
