Good Sunday Morning, Everybody!
:hi::donut:
And, Happy New Year! I hope you had a great time last night! Greekspeak and I enjoyed the evening together with Bandit and Tony, and it was very nice. Here are a couple more pictures of Tony I took last night:

He is such a little darling! So, how are you? Hopefully you aren't TOO hung over. ;)

Good to see you this morning! I didn't WANT to get up either...but I did. I don't drink booze either so that wasn't it for me either. I just need another day off is all. Are you going to have a relaxing day today or do you have lots of plans?

4. I have plans
I am supposed to drive to London for a programme that is happening down there. I'm guess that it should be quite easy, because I'm not expecting too many other people out on the roads today. And the conditions are fine, the freeze that we were suffering last week has now thawed out.

You doing anything? :hug:

:hi::loveya:
Happy New Year, my dear! I sure do love my Tony! He's only 7 weeks old, so we're going through the house training thing and stuff. He sleeps with us every night too! I know how you feel about the sleep thing. I've been getting up early for so long I rarely sleep past 6:30. If I DO sleep that late, I feel like the day is half gone. You have any big plans for today?

No big plans. I'm going to apply for an internship at my local paper so I'll be working on some writing samples. Other than that, we're going to finish off the alcohol from last night and just hang around the house. Maybe I'll clean up around here a bit, if I feel like it. :D

How 'bout you?

I'll tolerate it even WITHOUT special treatment! We're looking for a high of 75 today too. Since I'm from Missouri where we have 26 inches of snow on the ground and THEN have an ice storm on top of that, so this warm winter weather is still a novelty to me.

Wow! I'm really surprised to see people up. I tried staying in bed just out of principal, but that didn't work out. Oh well.
Last night was fun, and no, I'm not much of a drinker either.
My plans for today are to watch the Packers, get in some reading, and just relax. Sorry to hear that you have to work today Clint. You sure don't get a lot of time off.
Wishing all a great Sunday and of course a Happy New Year filled with peace and happiness.

Sunday's are usually pretty slow around the lounge, so I didn't expect to see lots of people in here either. Sounds like you have a great Sunday planned. I wish I could do the same thing. But, managing a retail store demands most of my time. I wish we were closed today, corporate is (today AND tomorrow), but we aren't. So I have to work both days.

Happy New Year!! :party:

harleydad has two more days off. Then he goes back to work on Tuesday. We've been trying to pack in the fun and "together time." Only problem is that it puts me off my exercise schedule ... but, hey, it's the holidays! Exercise can wait a few more days. :)

37. Yeah.
I think he's a cat whisperer. He turned homeopathic several years ago and sold his practice to the two who almost killed Satchmo (long story). Now he only does house calls. It helps him to see how they act in a non-stressful situation. They've always hated vets, but they all like him. They even hang around after they've been examined and prodded! You see, homeopathic remedies are given in a small amount of flavored water ... baby food does the trick for that. So they think he's the candy man because he gave some remedies a few times.
:rofl:

I wish you had two more days off, too. It's actually something I have to keep a close eye out for with harleydad. He never takes enough time off, so his PTO keep accruing ... until it hits 200 hours and then it stops. That's like giving vacation away! My job is to let him know when he's approaching 200 hours so he can use some of them up.

38. Vacation time is at a premium in retail...
You can only take vacation at certain times during the year. And if you don't use all your time, you lose it. I haven't lost any vacation time, let me tell ya!

39. You bet it is!
I think it's use it or lose it everywhere. I'm glad you haven't lost any! The tricky part with harleydad's job is that PTO is paid time off for WHATEVER -- including illness. So he has to make sure to leave some in the bucket in case he gets sick. When I was working, we had separate unlimited sick leave.

I worked for one guy who declared that if he owned the company, he'd give everyone 6 weeks vacation from day one and fire them if they took it. I always took my vacations, so he considered me a slacker. Whew! Some jobs are better forgotten.
