I'm starting to think that Bobby Flay is even more annoying than Rachael |
|
Edited on Sun Jan-01-06 02:01 PM by Rabrrrrrr
At least Rachael is good to look at when she's being annoying, pedantic, and uninteresting.
He's obviously a good chef, but he has no charisma, and his presence make me feel that he never really quite knows what he's doing and is just making shit up as he goes along, and the shit he's making up isn't very creative or interesting.
And it doesn't matter if it's one of his own shows, him showing up on someone else's show, or IRon Chef America.

5. One look at Bobby Flay should have told you... |
|
he has no charisma or even a pleasant personality. :P
I'd much rather eat a meal cooked by Rick Bayless.

His was far more creative than the others. Of all the American cooks/ chefs the one with the most creative recipes (don't hurt me) is Martha Stewart. I also liked the Two Fat Ladies...miss them on edit: and this is my own creation and I think it competes with anything I've ever seen Bobby Flay do http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=236&topic_id=11818&mesg_id=11818

Mr. LiW and I were just talking about them the other day. Wish they'd air those shows again!

I'd even settle for airings in the middle of the night that I could record.
While I'm at it, it would be nice if Food Network would start airing The French Chef and The Galloping Gourmet again too.

8. I adored the Two Fat Ladies. |
|
Even Little Bouncy loved watching their show. But she loves Martha Stewart, too, go figure.

11. Flay Bobby Flay - he's a smarmy twerp |
|
I can't watch the bum. My favorite TV Chefs are:
Julia Child Martin Yan Jacques Pepin Alton Brown (the only Food Network Chef I watch) Nigella Lawson
I also liked the "Great Chefs" series, the one with Charlie Byrd Quartet playing.....

13. I used to watch "Great Chefs" on Discovery, 15 years ago. And Pasquale, |
|
who seemed to end every meal with carmelized bananas.
But what I really liked abot Pasquale was his knife technique - I've never seen anyone throw around and do shit with a knife like he does. Many times, he minced up a clove of garlic with his giant chef knife while looking away from the cutting board and talking to the camera. And I never saw him cut his finger doing it.

14. I was surprised when Bourdain gave Flay's restaurant in Vegas a good |
|
review on his No Reservastion show, considering some of the things Bourdain has said about Flay in the past.
