You haven't lived until
you have watched a two year old boy dance earnestly to "Hallelujah" from Shrek. Eyes closed, arms swinging..

That's all. May you all be so fortunate some day.

1. I've never seen a 2-year old boy dance to it
But how about a 2-year old girl?

2. Gee, I meant to post this in the Lounge
but it is so quiet in here today I'll just wait until a kind moderator moves it.

4. Probably not, but the image you described
has brought a huge grin to my face. I totally pictured it, and it sounds like the best thing one could ever see!
Thanks so much for sharing it! Aren't kids being kids just the best thing ever? :hi:

5. You're welcome
it is such a sincere little song, and he is totally into it.

Then of course we have to play karioke dance party over ten times.

6. Nice visual.
Leonard Cohen writes some good stuff. Kids recognize that.

8. That is such a beautiful heartbreaking song.
It shows up in an episode of "Scrubs" (Season 1, Disc 1), dealing with the deaths of three patients and how the characters deal with them.

I think Bono also does a cover, but that version is exceptionally evil.

13. Bono does Hallelujah?
I think my heart just stopped.

So not evil, so not evil! :loveya:

9. Yay!
Does it count if I danced to it myself?
I almost cried the first time I heard that song- I'd never heard it till the Shrek soundtrack. Broke my heart, but in a good way.

10. I've heard my upstairs neighbors put it on repeat and commit unspeakable
acts to it.

I can't listen to that song anymore. (And I have the Cohen, Wainright, lang, Buckley AND Bono -- :puke: to that last one -- versions on iTunes.)

12. That's awesome...
What a great image... kids' unbridled emotion is wonderful to be a witness to :)

I think the same song shows up on the Fahrenheit 9/11 soundtrack or some other anti-Bush album? Either way, gives me the shivers. Good stuff.

with such an angelic voice.

Little kids feel with such glorious abandon! :D

15. You haven't lived until you have watched "Toy Story" a couple of
hundred times! My two year old son got this movie from my sister (thanks a lot!) and this is all he wants to watch. "Toy Story, Toy Story, Toy Story..." he is like a broken record!
