I just had the worst freaking nightmare.
Edited on Mon Jan-02-06 08:06 AM by LaraMN
I woke up almost in tears with my heart racing, and I felt like it was all real. I was wide awake after that, staring at the ceiling. I still have the urge to call people and make sure they're okay, but I doubt it would be appreciated at this hour! Gah! Nice way to start the day....:scared:

1. Ugh! How horrible!!!!!
I saw 'the ring" right before bed and woke up at 1 totally freaked out.... no sleep for me. :P

I need to get up and be productive in about 20 minutes, too.

It's just a dream, don't worry too much about it!

3. My littlest guy woke up- he's a welcome distraction.
Particularly since he was part of the bad dream!:-(

2. I'm lucky that way
I think I've remembered a handful of my dreams & nightmares my whole adult life.

I'm sorry you had your nightmare, though.

4. I always seem to remember the bad ones- but they're usually bizarre
and unrealistic. This one felt too real. I'm glad I'm awake now!

5. I still remember one nightmare
(well, besides my first marriage!)

But, it was when I lived in an apartment, which was from '93 to '97... so, in that range. But, I was in bed by myself and I saw a shadow creeping across my apartment. I was paralyzed with fear and couldn't move in my bed. But, the shadow raised what looked to be a long knife up and I still couldn't move or couldn't see anything. The dream ended there.

Normally, I'm so laid back that nothing flusters me, so it was a strange feeling

6. Aw, poor baby...
Sorry you had a jolt... Hope you can take a soothing, dream free nap sometime today.

Sweet Dreams,

7. Thanks, G,
I'm still waiting for the panic-induced adrenaline rush to dissipate. This would probably be a good time to clean my house, but it's also the only time of day when my house isn't a mess, yet!

12. It's pretty bad when your dreams affect your waking life.
It's nice of you to understand that and sympathize!

9. I used to dream that I was being chased by a tornado...

I tried to hide in open basements of houses already destroyed, but the tornado always seemed to know where to find me.

I blame it on the annual replaying of The Wizard of Oz throughout my childhood.

Hope your heart is quieting down and everybody's okay...

:pals:

11. Hey, baby.
I know what tou mean. I have all these Concentration Camp dreams that are almost unshakeable because of their vividness. I know what you mean about wanting to call everyone you love to see if they're ok. You strike me as someone with strong intuition, anyway, so I suspect your dreams are almost all vivid.

13. They are. I don't know if I just forget most of the good ones,
or if I just have an excess of nightmares. I've had numerous experiences where I woke up and cried because it took a minute to realize someone wasn't dead and I'd only dreamt it. Ish. Then I get this paranoid *thing* where I don't want to explain who it was or what happened, because I feel like I'll jinx the object of my nightmare. I'm much better now, thanks, Sugar!
