Battlestar Galactica - review & preview coming up tonight
A recap of the first season and a half, plus a preview of the 2nd half of season 2 will be broadcast tonight on Sci-Fi.

Did anybody find it a bit odd that BSG was nowhere to be found the past few months - not even in repeats? Usually, if a network has a hit show, the repeat the show ad nauseum... like Stargate.

However, the 2nd half of season 2 starts Friday night, Jan 6

Being i grew up with the original(i was like 10-11 when the original aired). I had a bit of a time getting used to the new much darker series. When i watched the original mini series i was left perplexed, not knowing if i really liked it or not. But it left me with haunting thoughts i could not escape, and really made me think. Now i find the new series far superior by far(from an adult stand point).

3. believe it or not
I was a bit older than you when the original Galactica was on TV. I lost enthusiasm over time, thinking it light and not very serious. It was, but in watching a few episodes on DVD at a friend's house a month or so ago, it was better than I remembered.

4. The old series is not bad.
But it's kinda hokey/cutesy. While i was a kid that was fine it fit the bill perfect. Now i prefer the newer one because i find it more intellectually stimulating. Though yes i do still indulge in the old one from time to time.
