I'm glad Pasadena kept their New Year's parade. Dallas used to have the Cotton Bowl Parade, too, but our City Council killed it as a budget-cutting measure, I think. Waah.

Are you watching on HGTV? No commercials -- and they talk about the floats and bands, not superfluous crap.

4. The rain is amazing!

I can't remember seeing it rain on the Rose Parade -- a little drizzly now and then, but this is a deluge. I love the bands and the horses -- oh heck, and the floats and everything else.

9. I'm at work and I can't watch it!!

It is my favorite parade and it's just not right to be at work. I caught a glimpse of the mermaid float as I passed a TV - gorgeous!!
