Is the Lounge the Elbe of DU?
or are there little isles of elbe within the lounge?

If the Lounge is Elbe... then who is the Lounge's Bonaparte?

6. be wary of shady nephews (or sons)
who may later try to ride your famous name to power... only to take over and then be proven to be incompetent and power hungry... happened to Napolean, and Bushsr. Would hate to see it happen to you... ;-)

Start with conquering GD Politics... take that over, and you are ready to take over the world!

exiled. Sometimes the antipathy between the lounge and GD makes me think of elbe.

23. There are a few folks who really ought to be sent to a modern day Elba
Brownie, for one, should be subject to picking up beach driftwood to be used for catching fish, fire to cook the fish, but not for housing... he has to be condemned to digging out a hole in the dirt - and covering it with thatch to protect him from rain at night.

Rather a departure from the Lounge being Elba - but the image just leaped to the mind.

Edited on Mon Jan-02-06 07:13 PM by merh
that deserve to be sent to Elba. So many that it would not be an exile, they would be sharing a country club relationship with friends and family because we believe that even those confined have rights. The irony of our respect for our fellow human beings and basic human rights.

Of course, the lounge is an Elba of it's own, but some have committed themselves here and cause their own torment yet blame it on others. You would think that they would remember that saying (paraphrsed)"the definition of insanity is to do the same thing day after day and expect different results".

:freak: Go figure

I hope you are doing well, salin. :hi:
