What do you think of the bowl games these days?
The Nokia Sugar Bowl
The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl
The Chick-filet Peach Bowl

The only bowl that doesn't have a corporate logo splattered all over it is the Rose Bowl.

I'd respect the corporations more if they'd leave the names of the games alone.

7. It makes me even less inclined to watch the games...
Maybe I'll have a chamber music party instead.

8. Seems like we're on that path...
We have a government of the corporations, by the corporations, and for the corporations.

3. The Rose Bowl has its sponsors too
at least they keep the "rose" preeminent, but last time I watched it "Playstation" was plastered everywhere ...

9. I wondered who their sponsor was...
Sony may be more clever than the other giants. The lack of advertising could make people wonder who the sponsor of the Rose Bowl is.

14. I think it's actually the Rose Bowl's integrity
(what's left of it, I mean) They'll sell sponsorship rights, but won't relinquish naming rights (which is why it's "The Rose Bowl sponsored by Sony Playstation" as opposed to "the Sony Playstation Rose Bowl" ...

It would, probably, be a good marketing strategy, though. I've often thought the same of other bowls ... if FedEx would just have one advertisement saying "this is the orange bowl and we're honored to have our name connected to it" instead of plastering their name across the fifty yard line, I would be much more impressed with FedEx, I'd have to say ... but, then, all these corporate sponsors make me sick.

Oh well. :/

15. They don't care what people think of them anymore
just as long as people think of them. The government handles the rest.

Corporations could start sponsoring their own amateur bowls, too...
