1. A little of all of the above...
Really depends on what I'm looking for. I will spend $$ on good boots, but shop at Goodwill for jeans :)

Something non-mall related yet not mail order might not be a bad idea :)

5. This is a real struggle for me.
I have a job where I need to look professional (suit and tie or dress casual) on a daily basis. However, I refuse to buy clothing where I can not be certain that the workers who made the clothes are paid a fair wage. That drastically limits your choices. As a result, I purchase clothes very infrequently (probably not a bad thing). Nevertheless, I have several suits that are getting thread bare and will have to purchase some in the not-so-distant future.

Does anyone know any good places to buy "fair trade" suits and ties?

11. 90% from Marshall Field and Carson Pirie Scott.
Once in a while, I'll shop at Kohl.

It saddens me that Marshall Field will become Macy's soon. :(

14. I'm thinking about getting some clothes from this place:
http://www.unionjeancompany.com/

Someone posted this a few months back. They sell all-American made, union-made apparel.

I buy 2nd hand work uniforms from a guy by the side of the road. I do however pay for 1 nice new pair of Redwing boots once a yr.
