I went to the computer store with asthmaticeog on Sunday. |
|
Edited on Tue Jan-03-06 11:53 AM by Beware the Beast Man
I had to buy a memory card, and he was looking at the Macs. See- PC users and Mac users CAN live in perfect harmony. I also bought a can of aerosol duster, and Cathyclysmic looked at keyboards, optical mice, and design software.
Good times. :grouphug:

That sounds like fun! That's my favorite computer superstore. I even used to work in the education center there, teaching web development, five years ago.
Sounds like a good time! Did either of you get any new toys?

We went to see the softer side of Sears because we had gift cars. Beast man got Sirius Radio and I got a DVD player. I also looked at microwaves, since ours burns the popcorn. Astmatieog priced some cookware.

I swear, every Mac user I know sends me emails full of emoticons. Maybe it's because most of the Mac users I know are graphic artist, and truly it doesn't bother me. But it's an interesting phenomenon, I think.

Did you expand or was your mobo capable?

I have had the absolute pleasure of meeting IRL the witty, intelligent, gregarious and yes, wonderful gentleman who started this thread and his lovely, intelligent, vivacious wife. And the equally wonderful, witty gentleman they met up with. I am indeed very happy that they all enjoyed an afternoon of companionship yesterday afternoon.
Reading this wonderfully touching post, warm and life affirming, makes me realize how very special, how precious indeed, the DU community is. I love all of you guys, also.

Our kitties love KNK, but we no longer buy it for them. The resulting odor is repulsive.
We've found that even though IAMs cost more, the kitties eat less, and smell better. So cost is not an issue.

I had to buy two little boxes of washing powders because the big ones were all gone.
Also, I couldn't by the normal bag of sunflower seeds because they only had the big ones left.
