That is actually the first time I saw that one on video. It would of been nice to have been there, but I was only three years old at the time.

Yes. Been working on the docks now for 12 years after I was laid-off from McDonnell Douglas.
The waterfront is a great job. I am very fortunate.

I've done a lot of work with your union stewards in the past...I'm in labor/disability law...there's a great sushi place there in town...Senfuku's...I love it...there's also a neat little pub but I doubt I'll ever go there again...the place is now an incident for me

Its been a while since I've been to either one of them. Lately me and co-wokers have been barbecuing steaks and carne asada tacos right there on the docks.

I agree with your assessment about the I.L.W.U. I LOVE the I.L.W.U. I love how we help people all around the world. I love how militant we are when its appropriate to be. Most of all I LOVE this unions' strong solidarity and thoughtfulness with the communities around here.
Yeah, you're correct about 6th street..

I was at our union hall working on a problem one of or members had a couple days prior.
But there were two other occasions when I was next to Jesse Jackson. One was at a labor rally held at the AFL-CIO office in Los Angeles, and the other was a rally held at our dispatch hall.
On both occasions I had a few words with Mr. Jackson. I have a lot of respect for Jesse Jackson. Too bad we didn't have a lot more like him. Not that we don't have a lot of fine leaders here on the left. Just I'd like to see more Barbara Boxers, John Conyers, Cynthia McKenneys and Jesse Jacksons.. :)

26. "Stay out of the Bushes" remember that? :) |
|
Edited on Tue Jan-03-06 10:15 PM by Popol Vuh
I hope we'll be able to stay 'away' from the Bushes when our next contract is up. Which will be in July 2008. Scary to think of the big battle we might have to deal with because of the chimp still being in the White House for several months at that time.
This thought gives me added drive to do all I can on my part to help push Bush over into impeachment. Not that I wouldn't any way of-course. Just puts a little more emphasis behind it.
I hope we get a landslide this mid-term.. :)

'Preciate it...The Dylan covers are masterful.
Watch this stuff....this man was a certifiable genius. The 1960s took some wonderful talents away from us, but thank God we had them for the time we did...their music lives on.
