How did John and Yoko staying in bed for a week promote world peace? |
Because I'm willing to try it if there's a logic to it...

4. I find being in bed too long makes my lower back hurt |
They must have gotten out to use the bathroom (one would hope).

6. Because they were fucked up on acid and dope |
And because that was the most creative thing Yoko could come up with and John was too fucked up and smitten with puppy dog love to tell her to sod off.

7. Because the entire world media |
paid attention to every little thing they did.
I wouldn't say it made a bit of difference, though.

11. Yeah, I don't think it did either |
but at the time I was much younger and I figured there was some deeper meaning which was beyond my grasp. I guess there wasn't.

12. That's about it. It drew the media in droves, and they did it for more |
than a week, they did it in numerous different places for damn near a year. (See the documentary 'John and Yoko's Year' for the whole story). The whole bed-in thing was accompanied by the global "WAR IS OVER" poster, billboard, etc. blitz as well.

which was recorded with them and a crapload of other people in the hotel room :)

Any excuse for staying in bed is always good for me.
I like my bed! I spared no expense with getting a great mattress and really great sheets. Since I have to spend a third of my life there I better well enjoy it!
