Poll question: When did you stop watching "The Amazing Race"?
I just came to the realization that I used to love TAR, and just am not the least bit interested in it any more. I just sort of quit watching it after they starting putting reality show contestants from other series like Rob and Amber on it. I just think that what made this show so great is that it was real people, and they were not pandering to the least common denominator, and putting an already high-profile pair of media whores into a series that does so well on its own.

It also sort of just seemed like the teams turned bitter, hateful, and humorless. In other words, it turned into a reality show :(

What about all of you out there?

1. The Real World was the last and only good reality TV show.
And it stopped being good several years ago.

2. Hated Romber, hated the family season
but plan to turn in next season. They are back w/ teams of two, race around the world(family stayed in N. America) and things look good. Plus, for the first time ever, I have a team to root for immediately from the promo shown at the end of TAR: Family. They've got a nerd team on there and I can't wait to watch them in action(self-confessed Trek, D&D style nerd-geeks). I love nerds!

3. When I saw the "hay unrolling" episode
Edited on Tue Jan-03-06 04:50 PM by AchtungToddler
Where an older retired couple was pitted against a pair of young models or atheletes or somesuch to find instructions rolled up deep within huge bales of hay scattered thruout a field.

I thought "how fucking stupid, this has ZERO to do with the implied premise of this show".
