Is anyone adept at this,or know of any good source for it? Two nights ago,I had the most disturbing and vivid dream I've ever had in my life. I woke up with my heart pounding so hard that it sounded like it was coming out of the walls. Here is what I remember: In my dream,I am gradually waking up and taking stock of my surroundings. I seem to have been sleeping in a dark corner of a building. It is dark and dusty, and has a smell of machine oil or something like that. When I woke up I could still smell it for a while. I hear popping noises outside and look around. In the doorway,I see a body of a man dressed in a WW I type uniform...further outside the door I see another. I'm hiding,panicking..trying to think..hoping they don't know I'm there. Then I wake up...never so disturbed by a dream before. I have barely slept since then, for fear of going back to that place(unlikely, but it was that horrific). Is there any way to figure out what this might mean,or is it time to just check into the cracker factory? Any help appreciated..

I am so-so. My mother, for whom I was caregiver, died last Wednesday one week short of her 94th birthday following a heart attack. She passed peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by her family.
It was especially difficult after Andy Stephenson's (formerly God_bush_n_cheney) untimely death on July 7.

I know how hard it is to lose your mother...and it must be especailly hard when you were her caregiver. I hope you can take some comfort from the fact that you were able to give her that gift of your care and love. I didn't know about Andy's passing(have been afk for a very long time). I'm very sad to hear of it...I remember him well.

Andy had pancreatic cancer and went fairly quickly, but following surgery. Here are some old threads on the situation. DU raised $50,000 so he could have the necessary surgery at JOhns Hopkins. Unfortunately, the cancer was so far gone that he did not survive. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=3434919http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=3727112
