Who shot fireworks for New Year's? |
|
We spent a lot of money on our fireworks, but they were nice and we had a good ole time!

5. The people across the street, not to mention half of Honolulu |
|
no fireworks allowed in our building, of course: the unit came with a 25-page rule book! :eyes: The people right across the street were setting off fountains, in full view of my lanai (balcony), in the back driveway of the big store an hour before the store had closed! Shameless.
How popular are fireworks out here? The NWS weather forecast for New Year's Eve read: "Mostly clear. Areas of smoke."!

Fireworks were outlawed here. I don't shoot them off anyway, but it sure made for a quiet NYE.

9. I was surprised I didn't hear any firecrackers |
|
I really didn't think a burn ban was going to stop some of my neighbors. I was pretty impressed.

One or two rockets and a fountain - nothing expensive.

Black powder, actually. Lotsa smoke, lotsa boom.
Bunch of fireworks here - it replaces the 4th of July, since we get way too much sunlight for them in summer.

10. In spite of the burn ban here... |
|
...I heard and saw several in my neighborhood. I usually save the personal "shooting off" for July 4th, and end up spending more money than I should. :D
