i am seeking a new spiritual path, tell me of the flying spaghetti monster

i see this Deity here on DU, and he/it is new and interesting to me, and i have lost my way on my particular personal path to enlightenment, what can you tell me about this Deity, the flying spaghetti monster? i find myself strangely attracted to him/it and i need to learn more for some reason that i cannot put into words.

what wisdom does he/it possess? what does he/it ask of his/it's devotees? is there a collection plate, or is giving based on a 10% tithe basis? does he/it require any sacrifice or inconvenience? help me out on my path.

(if this belongs in the religion forum, i'll understand)

and it's all because I learned about the Flying Spaghetti Monster from this thread. Now I must go and purchase a pirate suit to stop Global Warming and preach the gospel of my Master.

I'm thinking about taking this all the way, you know? Get all fundamentalist and stuff. :) I don't want to call myself a born again though...I wonder if there's a term for new fundamentalist FSM followers.
