Question for anyone listening to AAR now...
I am listening to Al Franken and when it goes to commercial, there is a commercial then some instrumental music will play for like 20 seconds...another commercial and some more music. I'm streaming it online but I've never heard them play music instead of playing a commercial, anyone know what's going on? It just seems strange to me

1. Seems strange to me too
I guess rather than continue the stream as WLIB out of NYC they decided to go generic. Either that or they want their advertisers to ante up extra to run their ads on the web.

2. Wonder when this first started to happen
because they broadcasted WLIB since day one. I went on vacation and haven't really listened regularly in a month or so. It's just strange that they would play some commercials and not others.

4. It's law
Strange thing, it's illegal to air commericals in all areas without the advertisers consent...basically why streaming radio is curtailed by the FCC...
