I wish it would snow here.
And not just the occasional flake here or there. Big piles of snow. Enough snow to close schools and cancel church.

Most of the snow here melted this last week, and that's just wrong. :(

2. You know what's really weird?
There are a bunch of little birds in my backyard. Tiny sparrows, and a couple of Bluejays. Thankfully, no Robins.

Even so, that's just wrong.

4. Get a hanging birdseed food holder
Edited on Wed Jan-04-06 01:40 PM by Whoa_Nelly
If nothing else, enjoy their beauty and antics...always entertaining and gives one time to ponder the gentler side of life.

Just an example. Have found one like this at the grocery store along with the seed cakes.

Am easily amused, and the birds are funny.

on edit:

And am sure your kitties would find it amusing and entertaining as well

7. My backyard neighbor has about 15 feeders in his yard...
Yet for some reason, they were over here in my yard today. Very strange.

8. No, but the housecleaner did.
Oh well, something to focus on.
I'm slow and lazy today, and very, very tired.

9. That is an added bonus.
But yeah, weird doesn't even begin to describe it. It feels like early spring right now, with cloudy skies. I'm not buying it.

13. It's like an extended January thaw.
As long as there's no ice storms I'm happy. :) Or 20 below zero days. lol

14. I prefer the 20 below.
Time passes way too quickly anyways. I certainly don't need nature trying to fool me that it's April.

15. Well, when it's that cold
the fireplace feels that much better. Or at least the woolen quilts and the hot chocolate.

16. The furry warmth of kitties.
The delicious sting of the air on your face and in your lungs, and the slow thaw to normalcy. THAT's what winter is supposed to be about!

I WANT MY WINTER BACK!!

19. Yes kitties would be cuddlier.
The bite of the air, the rosiness in the cheeks, the glow of a fire, the snug feeling of a down comforter are what makes winter what it is. It makes the rebirth of spring all that more special.

18. It takes a good person to be committed to that kind of education.
Thanks for doing the heavy lifting. The kids might not appreciate what you do right now, but they will... and so will their parents.

20. Very few appreciate it.
There ARE a few ... it keeps me going.

It is certainly not the high pay and glamor that gets me up every morning.

Your job is also for a special, caring person. Sorry that I do not share those view, but I can still appreciate what you do, and know that you work hard to make people's lives better.
