I was so wasted...
I was a hippie
I was a burnout
I was a dropout, I was out of my head
I was a surfer
I had a skateboard
I was so heavy, man, I lived on the Strand...

Man, I haven't listened to Black Flag in years!

2. They don't make punk like they used to.
I was just reminiscing about "Decline of Western Civilization" the other day. Fear was classic in that film.

21. "What, exactly, does 'eat my fuck' mean, anyways?"
I'm sorry to report that I went to see Fear in 1993 in Toronto. It was the original lineup, and I was expecting at least a smattering of the energy seen in that documentary.

Alas, they were far from exciting.

And there were lots of old Nazi Skinhead motherfuckers in the audience, which is never fun.

7. I lived there until age 26.
I've been in Cleveland ever since. I miss the Burgh from time to time, but I wouldn't want to move back.

The Banana is no more. The owners changed it into an Italian restaurant.

12. How about some Sachharine Trust with that?
Don't come in here
You'll see something ugly
It's not the kind of thing
You'd expect from a body
Don't come in here
Don't see me this way
With my knees on rice
And a prayer for the prey
My face is heavy
My mind is clenched
My eyes are disgusted
My hands are hot
My walls are green
My walls are red
I only cry wolf
When all my sheep are dead

Man, SST Records weren't doing a whole lot wrong back in the day.

13. That's off of "The Blasting Concept," isn't it?
Yeah, SST had a pretty unbeatable roster back in the day.

It's also on the unfuckwithable "Paganicons" album. Unconditionally recommended.

As a guitarist, I've been hanging from Joe Baiza's sac for many years now.

19. Saw them with Government Issue, Nig Heist, and Meat Puppets
in DC in January 1984.

Really , the punks didn't know what to think of what happened that night. But it was one of those DC shows that was in a church, and my friend June crawled out on the third ledge and into a window of the church office, and got us some nice church name badges.

I also have a plaque that was given to Caspar Weinberger and a push-button phone from the World Bank.
