That touchdown that should have NEVER counted made the difference
Edited on Thu Jan-05-06 12:25 AM by friesianrider
His knee was down before he made the toss, but no refs called it and no review. I knew then it would mean the game, and it did - USC was robbed!

So Texas is full of cheaters, eh?

1. given how well the Texas offense was working
they probably would have scored anyway, and not being in a rush to make the PAT might have made it. so who knows? remember, they would have been on the 5 if they'd called that dead, as they should have, and USC certainly wasn't stopping Vince Young.

4. there were a few things..;; BUT that's how it goes
in a close game like this ONE play can make or break you. The facemask is what I point to at the end.

5. if USC actually had a defense
I would agree with you. I don't think they would have stopped them regardless.

8. In any sporting event, on every play
someone fails to do something with complete effectiveness. It's folly to pin the outcome of a game on a single incident.

I wanted SC to win, but blaming a call or non-call does no good.

What the hell was this dope thinking on that lateral?

At the end of the day though the game meant nothing to me.
