Where are great Brazilian churrascarrias? |
|
I went to the great one, Foga de Chao (sp?), in Dallas. I wish they had caught on up here in the NE. I understand there's one in Chicago and another in Atlanta. Unfortunately, I am never in those 2 cities. What other cities are they in?
A different dining experience, if ever I found one.

4. Tucanos in Albuquerque is decent |
|
but I've been to the Fogo de Chao in Chicago and it is MUCH better. I will say this for Tucanos - it was more affordable and I really liked the roasted pineapple. BTW Fogo de Chao has several locations.... http://fogodechao.com/locations.htm

has lots of great portugese restaurants that serve churrascaria style. i think brazilian/porutgese are pretty similar due to the influence. there are also brazilian places around too. we used to go for work events when i was working at the airport. not really my thing, i'm not much for meat platters, but everyone else i know loves it. the portugese guys i worked with would get mildly offended that i didn't try everything. most of the best places are in the iron bound section.
one of the places we went was Iberia, they have two locations, one more formal than the other but they are on the same block. last time we were there our table ordered the churascarria, i had to keep politely declining the offerings they brought around while i ate my fish, but the rest of the table ate to the bursting point. beef, pork, chicken, turkey, sausage, lamb, and on and on......
