I've been reading people on here post about using feliway for their cats issues. Will this stuff work on my cat who insists on peeing in my daughters closet? We're getting an addition put on, and ever since the addition has been opened up hes been leaving me landmines, peeing and spraying in her new room. Shes not in there yet, and the carpeting is going in tomorrow and I dont want him to be leaving us presents in there when the rooms are done. He started doing this approx. two weeks before I went into labor with my son who is going to be 5 months.
Hes my male Sphynx that I got from a Sphynx rescue and he was severely abused and is very very cautious and spazzes out at the smallest thing. He really made a turn around since I got him, but still scared of certain noises - especially when someone yells he goes nuts.
So I picked up a bottle of this stuff - boy is it expensive!!! I think I paid $34 bucks for this wee bottle at PetSmart. I sprayed it on my chair where they think its a scratching post, and was spraying the new rooms upstairs. It seems like every day theres a landmine in her soon to be room.
I bought another cat box to put upstairs and I got one for my great room down here. I hope this fixes the problem.

You may have to restrict him to certain areas of the house.. There are rooms wher our cats are just not allowed...not because they are bad..just because they don't need to shed in EVERY room :)
and Sweets loves to chew wires..:grr:

3. Sounds to me like he's upset with all the commotion |
|
Give him extra attention. Bet he settles down when the contracting is finished. Until then... I wish you great fortitude.

5. I don't know anything about Feliway |

It sounds like emotional upset to me and I don't know if that will work for emotional upset. Have you ever thought of acupunture? And is there anyone in your neck of the woods who uses it to treat animals? I have an acupunturist friend who works with one of the local vets. She has a high success rate for all sorts of ailments.
