I always get really amused when I'm honked, because it's like you know what? If you're so angry about whatever I'm doing that you need to honk me about it, and that's the angriest you're going to be all day, you are doing way better than I am. Even when I'm irritated at someone cutting me off or whatever, I don't bother honking or making a spectacle of myself. what's a honk going to do anyway? Plus I'm a woman, and you never know when you'll get a nut.

You're right about how to drive in that situation though....

Tonight I backed into a woman sitting in her car with her grandchild. I swear to God, I 'tapped' her bumper and you would have thought I had drove a monster truck over her and the kid. :eyes:

Anywhoo, I called the cops because she started pointing out damage on the car that I couldn't have possibly caused. I was backing up fer cryin' out loud, going approximately 1 MPH. She said "You really whacked us". I said "Lady, if I really whacked you, you would be sitting in that parking lot across the street".

Time for another drink.

Born, raised, educated in CT. Moved here in 1991 with husband for his job like a dutiful wife with an 8 month old. But, truth be told, the neighborhood where I am has lots of transplants like me and I really, really like it here. (Even though it is a red state)

Attorneys are required, I believe to pass through Williamsburg, VA at some time to absorb history, at which time I will expect a phone call from you so you can be entertained by the Midlofamily in the style which befits you!!!!

A JD (juris doctor) who does legal work in the labor/disability field...don't need to be licensed to practice to make a living in administrative law
