Zoiks! A Ferret just met me at my door and came into my apartment.
The ensuing several minutes were devoted to keeping my cat from eating it. And from keeping the ferret from establishing a fort under my bookcases. Dang. Very odd that. I don't know anyone around here that has a ferret.

1. Oh wow... is it still in the apartment?
Maybe you should introduce them... :)

6. As cute and charming as that looks,
StirFry would be more inclined to make an even snack of the little dude.

2. So.... Ferret, eh?
You asked for Viggo, and ended up with Marc Singer?

5. Marc Singer
:wow:

Marc Singer is one nice looking man with or without ferrets.

7. I didn't get either of those guys,
I got a small furry beast that I think peed on me, and I can't seem to wash the smell off my hands. Yiiuch.

10. So, did you kick it out, or do you have it caged?
Sounds like some ass has put you in quite the predicament

17. Rub an onion slice on your hands
Then, pour tomato juice or soup over your hands...scrub up and good..and wash under cold water with dishsoap.

4. For some reason, ferrets were on my mind today.
None entered my abode though. Hrmmm

8. I kind of feel badly for the little guy,
he's probably someone's pet, but he's got no tags or anyway to find his home.

9. That is not a good situation.
I hope his owner comes looking for him.

15. Tomorrow
Try finding a ferret rescue in your town. They might be able to help you locate the owner, since most legal ferrets have code numbers tatooed on their ear or something. That's what a friend who owns several told me. Otherwise, they can take the little guy in and find a good home for him. Ferrets are highly intelligent little guys and they make great pets.

11. I would bet the cat would be in for a shock if he attacked the ferret
They can be mean!

13. And thus my attempts
to keep StirF from trying to eat it. Not that at 18 lbs of solid cat muscle he couldn't hold his own.

Long story short, it would have been unpleasant for both little critters and I just didn't want that to happen.

14. I put him and a fairly warm and dry courtyard outside
and kept the cat in for the evening. It's the most I could do under the circumstances.

16. I'm sorry... I've controlled it for hours, but I just have to make a
"weaseled his way in, huh?" comment.
