Can you claim gym memberships on flex spending? |
|
It would be a membership brought about by a medical condition (and the doctor would provide documentation to that effect). Anyone in the field who can offer advice?

otherwise known as flex spending as a benefit with DH's company. My doctor wrote a letter and wrote me a prescription for both training and gym membership as treatment for a medical condition. They released our pre-tax funds to pay for it.
You'll need to talk to your HR professional or perhaps the company that administrates your flex spending dollars to get the definitive answer.
Good luck, and I hope it's allowed...
