1. Todd Solondz "Storytelling"
I couldn't believe it was an hour and a half. Went by so quickly. Pretty hilarious and riveting. Far better IMO than "Happiness".

Before that:

Serenity
Four Brothers
Better Luck Tomorrow

... trying to remember what else

6. Margaret Cho live and Paper Clips.
Edited on Thu Jan-05-06 09:36 PM by Metta
Everyone who sees MC slaps the face of the Christian right. Paper Clips is a great homage to the spirit of adventure, inquiry and the true heart.

33. Out on dvd now, if you didn't know.
Our local Blockbusters had several, I'm happy to see. It's certainly one of the more uplifting events to come out of the Holocaust examination. Have tissues.

Definetly enough to be profitable I think.

I really don't like Orlando Bloom so I'm waiting for it to be on cable.

a lot of it was very factual according to my husband who is an amateur historian and has read just about every book out there on the Crusades. No wonder the arabs still hate us!

30. We Just Returned 2 GOODIES!
"Yhe Island", a kick butt movie with a brain.

"In My Country", with Samuel L Jackson & Juliette Binoche. About the reconcilliation hearings in South Africa after the end of Aparteid where so many blacks FORGAVE their white oppressors, many of whom were sincerely sorry for what they had done. A very powerful movie. One touching moment is when an elderly black man asks a former policeman why he destroyed his fruit trees. He turns to him and says "Tell me WHY, sir, so I can FORGIVE you". Also when a former policeman gets on his knees in front of a little boy who had seen him kill his parents. This movie is a true buried treasure.

Of course, we Americans don't have ANYTHING to learn from other cultures. Especially "dem cullid folks"! :sarcasm:
