Bankrobber's Vanity License Plate helps lead to arrest - "FINDME"

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Arlie Bichlmeier's personalized license plate reads "FINDME." Thanks to the plate, authorities did find him about 90 minutes after he allegedly tried to rob the Security National Bank branch in Laurel on Wednesday.

Bichlmeier, 58, walked into the bank about 9:30 a.m. and indicated his intention to rob the facility, the State Patrol said. There was no weapon shown and the suspect fled the bank without any money, the Patrol said.

Witnesses described the suspects vehicle as a 1994 Black GMC pickup, specifically the eye-catching "FINDME" plate.

At about 11 a.m., the Patrol and Norfolk Police Department located a vehicle and suspect matching the description in a parking lot.

On the next paragraph it says they're booking him for robbery and "terrorist threats". :wtf:

Terrorist threats? Of course he's going to make such a threat, it is how any such robber works, "Give me the money, or I'm gonna do __________" Sadly, I think that this is just another step down that slippery slope to fascism. Today, bankrobbers will be considered terrorists because of the threats they make, next it will be people who are parked illegally. Besides, once somebody is defined as a terrorist, they can be declared an enemy combatant, stripped of their civil rights and citizenship, detained indefinetly, and shipped to Gitmo for a little "softening up"

But yeah, this guy is one dumb fool with that license plate. Some people are just idiots, plain and simple.
