2. I hadn't seen this. I have a lot of great memories from the time
when his songs were big hits. Sad.

He got that right. Velvet voice, yes.

What incredible style he had. A national treasure. And an activist, too, I'm hearing.

His duet of "At Last" was one of our wedding songs, and we fell in love while listening to that album.

I just got his "Love Songs" and Christmas album this holiday.

I'm so sad about this.

7. Why did this get moved from LBN?
Lou Rawls was a very important man in the African American community. He has hosted the UNCF telethon for many years and was much more recognized than Barry Coswill (or whatever his name is) whose death notice still resides in LBN.

10. I'm wondering that also.
I came here tonight to read what I thought would be a big reaction from folks, but had a hard time even finding the story.

Well anyway, Great love and respect to you Lou and you will certainly be missed!

8. Damn. I was on the Lodge tonight listening to an interview with him
on NPR. I was hoping that wasn't why. RIP Lou, and thank you.
