4. I LOVE French Toast, it pisses off freepers.... |
|
Just on taste alone, I love it. But, when the freepers wanted to re-name it Freedom Toast, I said NO WAY! Give me my French Toast, with Canadian Bacon on the side!!!!

They're good with Butter and Jelly, syrup, Berries, Ice Cream, Fried Chicken, any number of creamed seafood dishes and just by themselves.
Of Course, the versatile crepe is also a Pancake, but...
Waffles have architecture
my kids love them because waffles are an event
When we drive down 95 to Wilmington, NC, we pass Waffle Houses, and Aunt Sarah's Pancake house, but we've only been in the Waffle House
The International House of Pancakes (Lewis Black's favorite Restaurant) makes very tasty omelets.....
Chicken and Waffles has been the Breakfast of Champions for decades......

7. You could use creamed chicken too... |
|
Creamed chicken over waffles, or rolled into thin pancakes for Chicken Versailles.

with maple syrup or fruit compote--ok--call it stewed fruit, if necessary. I like French toast, as well--and it's great with different breads! The only pancakes I like are Swedish--I hate the thick, doughy-dry ones.

Purchase a waffle iron at walgreens for 7 dollars with some christmas money, with a dollar box of pancake mix with water added that last about 2 weeks. I can eat a cheap breakfast everyday that actually taste good and is warm for the winter.

My mom would make "breakfast for dinner" (I loved those dinners!) with pancakes, eggs (usually over-easy) and bacon. YUM! I'm a bisquick-pancake girl, though, it's all we ever had (with Mrs. Buttersworth syrup) so that is total comfort food to me.
I also really like waffles - Belgian waffles, with a huge dollop of cottage cheese and maple syrup - excellent food.

and then we slather them with peanut butter (don't knock it 'til you've tried it) and have a feast.
Gosh, I love a meal that someone else cooks!

21. My favorite is sort of a combination of pancakes |
|
and french toast. When I was a kid my mother would cover a slice of bread with a thin layer of pancake batter like you would egg on French toast. I guess she did that to stretch the pancake mix since we weren't exactly rich at the time. I still like my pancakes that way.
