3. What happened? Was she in an accident or something? |
|
I hope she's OK; she's a nice kid and I'd not be happy if she was having problems.

7. I missed that one. Thanks for the update. |
|
She's a peach, and I suspect that she's going to become a very well-known DUer...it's so good to see people her age getting involved (and taking up the slack for us old farts who are getting a bit tired...)

8. OUCH! That hurts. I do hope that doctors are involved; that's not the |
|
sort of thing that you should just shake off and ignore.

11. Somebody PLEASE tell her that if she vomits, she HAS to go |
|
to the hospital.
That's even more of an indicator of a concussion than a headache is.

14. And, speaking as someone who has a displaced vertebra in his neck, |
|
(Yes, I'm kind of a walking, or actually limping, car wreck), that's not something to fool around with either.
I don't mean to sound alarmist, but it's better to be sure.

10. And an important message to Miss MMR: Do NOT take the possibility |
|
of a concussion lightly. They're not something to screw around with; I've had four of them, and if I had known what that would do to my memory, I might have reconsidered having at least two of them.
You may see me joke about my lack of memory in the Lounge, but concussions are not funny, and you shouldn't just try to shake it off and go about your business if you indeed have one of whatever those things are that I was just talking about, because I'm pretty sure, I think, that they're not something you'd like, or I would be if I could remember what they in fact are.

Had three of them from a headbanger student. Third one put me in the hospital...had problems with memory, emotions, and fine motor. Not something to take lightly at all.
Am still concerned for our young DemGal Mini...head injuries can cause probs for some time afterward.
