I recently discovered that warmer water makes the bristles of the brush softer, and more comfortable. Who knew? But yeah, weird to get used to.

I know people who brush in the shower. For some reason, that seems wrong to me.

Sometimes the water is cold, sometimes cool and sometimes semi-warm. Whatever comes out of the cold water tap is what I use.
