1. Got any Alka-Seltzer?
Burp that bubble right outa there.

If not, a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass o' water might do it.

4. I took a Pepcid AC chewable
that combines the antacid with the active ingredient in Pepcid..no go, though.

I'm on a medication long-term that just rips up your stomach.

35. Pepcid Complete is the only thing that works for me. I think I'm about
to move on to Nexium.

Oh wait...

There was something on the news not too terribly long ago about one of the causes of late-night heartburn being people drinking carbonated beverages before going to bed.

Hope you have some Rolaids or something.

5. No carbonated beverages here
The only carbonated beverage I drink is mineral water.

Tonight's dinner was a little hard on the stomach, though. Spicy, and had tomatoes. Probably won't make that again.

3. Do you have any baking soda?
On the rare occasion when I have heartburn, a half-teaspoon of baking soda suspended in 8 ounces of water prompts the most heavenly and cathartic burp on earth. No joke.

12. One cautionary point:
The resulting burp may wake up sleeping neighbors. And be sure to use baking _soda_ , NOT baking _powder_. We'll expect a full report, Ellen.

17. I know the difference between the two
I bake a lot. I made cornbread mix tonight because I put cornbread on the menu twice this week.

Let me dash off to the kitchen right now.

19. I know a lot of meds will sometimes say "may be taken with milk."
Stuff like tylenol or ibuprofin will burn, sometimes - especially in higher doses. Be sure to check your prescription bottles, to make sure there's not a "Do NOT" label on it.

Feel better soon!
