2. The article says it's a computer...
used to determine top overall speed, quarter-mile time and speed, and the top speed for each of the gears.

5. Gorgeous!
With gas prices the way they are however, I don't think I'd want one unless they come out with a hybrid Hemi lol.

10. Like I said yesterday
Detroit is so busted out for originality and fresh ideas they're regressing back to the shit days of make the car heavy and stiff enough to handle the biggest engine it can.

If gas goes back up to 3 bucks/gal a month before this is released it'll never sell.

6.1 liters? No thanks, give me a well-engineered engine that can either sip fuel OR guzzle it. Shit Detroit iron only knows how to guzzle.

But yeah, talk about backing the wrong horse. Yay! Gas expensive! Let's sell a car that says "fuck it"!

Maybe it runs on moonshine.

13. Greek Revival architecture
Did it mean that American culture was doomed?

BTW, I never like Chrysler muscle cars. Just too big. A Chevelle, now that was a car.

14. Hehe..
.... well, I've never owned a single mopar product until recently.

I in fact had a '68 Chevelle SS 396, and it one fast car. At my high school, it only got beat once - by a '70 Chevelle SS 454 :)

I also owned 5 different GTOs, they were not that fast but I liked them anyway :)

I took down my post since I realized this is the Lounge and not GD - but as good as guess as "decline" might be a "dearth of ideas and imagination".

16. Actually it is demographics
Baby Boomers (a pet peeve of mine) drive design to a great degree.

That being said, I love muscle cars, never really had one and I understand why they are making them again.

20. Hey...nice car! Got a hemi in it??
"Yer about to find out!"

WTF?? No wonder the American car companies are in trouble. The writing is on the fucking wall...oil is no longer flowing like water.

I don't want to hear anymore bullshit about how the Japanese are killing the US auto makers...they are killing themselves.

17. That's the best "retro" design yet.
But it's a shame they didn't integrate technology similar to the V8 Mercedes, Jags and BMWs: half the cylinders shut-off at cruising speed, to save on gas consumption.

Thanks for posting those pics!

Now I've got another car for the "once I win the lottery" list.

On edit: It's a pity Daimler/Chrysler won't put a manual transmission in any of these cars. Same thing as the Mercedes that are imported to the U.S. All automatics.

I need someplace to put my 7-11 88oz Big Piss.

I see they brought the Pistol Grip with it. Of course, now there can be no 'Cuda version.
