Anybody else here obsessed with the 'Miami Ink' marathon on TLC all day?
I happened to catch it at about 10am this morning as I was getting dressed and doing laundry, and now I am not only addicted to the show, but am actually considering getting a tattoo.

Please tell me I am not alone.

2. I missed the show...
...but I've been aching to get another tattoo for years now. I already have one on my right ankle...

What were you thinking of inking on yourself?

4. no idea
back in college I thought (casually) about getting a ring of Hiroshige-style water - about dollar-sized - on my lower back. But now I would probably get a star on the back or my neck or on my elbow.

Just watching this show, though, I can totally see why people are into tattoos. Plus I like the anti-authoritarian aspect to it. And that it's a permanent statement. I have this secret desire to prevent myself ETERNALLY from working for The Man. You know? ;)

5. I comprende!
I like the idea of it being a personal statement, and I admire those who have put a lot of thought into theirs. And, yeah, the anti-authoritarian aspect appeals to me in so many ways! I was raised so sheltered that I have this tendency to not work with the system now...

I never thought about the elbow - above it? or actually on it? I do remember one time seeing a gentleman who had a spiderweb around his...

8. White? Wow...
...I gotta get caught up - that sounds so cool.

That is a gorgeous star - yeah, black and white would look beautiful in that pattern!

I was thinking of updating my ankh by adding heiroglyphic text to it, with maybe a lotus. I just haven't found the right artwork yet...

3. I've been thinking of getting a new tattoo this week while on vacation
in the Keys. Been pouring over designs for the last week. I have a couple of things that I'd really like to get, but I just have to find the right art and decide where to put it!

I've seen most of these, but I just like watching talented people do their thing.

If I could pick out a design, I'd get one. Really.

11. I haven't watched it
Once you get one tatt, you'll get more. It's the nature of the beast. I have a few myself and would get more if I design something else I like.

13. I've been watching it. I wonder if all artists are as good as these guys.
It does sort of make you want to get a tattoo.
