OK, why is my local rock station playing country??
I just got back into Fargo, I was on the Interstate in Fergus Falls, and I thought I would turn the dial to 104.7 The Dam, because it plays all new modern rock, which is the kind of music I like. And I hear country songs playing on the station. Then I get into town, and I log on, and I see the station's website still says "North Dakota's New Rock" and everything like that, and has all the rock designs on the site, and then I see their current playlist, and it shows all country music on there.

Now what am I gonna do for my new rock fix if The Dam is done with?? Q98 recently switched over to half-classic, half-new, but I'm not really into classic rock. I really don't listen to Q98 anymore. But I think I'm gonna have to if they changed The Dam into country. Geez, aren't there already like, six or seven country stations in this city by now??

I don't like modern rock, but I like country even less. That's a blow, man. x(

2. Go Satellite Radio
if KQWB/Q98 is going down the tubes. It is still the best rock station in the RRV, but cannot compare to 93X in the Twin Cities.

3. Are you kidding me?? 93X blows nut chunks.
And believe me, I listened to 93X since it was called The Edge.

One of the great reasons I moved out of the Twin Cities is because the radio market there is so piss poor.

4. I guess I prefer a harder sound

I do have all three Edge CD's but I did think their latter days were better than their early days. I was a fan of 93X before Disney/Capital Cities bought them and turned it into The Edge as 93X was a non-corporate station back then.

Of course in the Cities I also go to 89.3 The Current often as it has a quasi-KEGE/Edge sound.

Edit: when driving up, try Rockin 101 out of St Cloud for that part of the trip.

5. I listen to 101 out of St. Cloud.
Not as good as The Dam, but better than 93X, IMO.

6. How about KNDS, the NDSU College Station?
Do they have a good rock selection? It is at 105.9.

7. This must be a new Clear Channel corporate format

Some country stations do have enough electric guitar that some suit thought it was a good idea to put them together. It is a weird crossover format.

very weird
Thanks for listening. We never would have made it this long without our DAM listeners. T-Bone has moved over to the Box, and has brought the Boneyard with him. Log onto www.thebox1019.com for more.

101.9 is still classic rock.

15. Life is so fucked up
You need to do something. Get a picket sign. Fast. Stop eating. Letters to the station manager. Propaganda against Roy Acuff. Write books. Call Michael Savage. Donate $269,000 to your Congressperson's campaign. Turn the radio off. Start your own radio station. Buy all country musick CDs for sale in your town. FOR THE LOVE OF GAWD! Spread rumors that Garth Brooks is gay.

DO SOMETHING, MAN!!!!!!

It is important.
