Schwarzenegger, son hurt in motorcycle wreck
Governor needs 15 stitches in lip

Monday, January 9, 2006; Posted: 3:21 a.m. EST (08:21 GMT)

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and his son, Patrick, received minor injuries Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle accident near their home, the governor's press secretary said in a written statement.

According to Margita Thompson, the governor received 15 stitches to repair a cut lip. Both he and his son also were treated for minor cuts and bruises, and were released from St. John's Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

"The accident occurred at around 3:15 p.m. when another driver backed into a street in front of Governor Schwarzenegger as he rode his Harley-Davidson motorcycle," Thompson said. "The governor was unable to avoid the vehicle in his path and collided with it at a low speed."

1. It had a sidecar!
"The governor was unable to avoid the vehicle in his path and collided with it at a low speed." It's a good thing he wasn't traveling at full speed or they'd have been launched.

Too bad they don't just sew his mouth shut. Do you suppose the nurses in CA were just estatic to help the bastard?

15. 15 stitches represents a gash worthy of a hollywood movie monster...
Edited on Mon Jan-09-06 08:25 AM by bridgit
'"The governor is expected to keep previously scheduled appointments" on Monday, Thompson said.'

really? it's monday moring here right now. that's a some 3-4" gash, torn like down to his chin or whatever, "chin" nothing; that would have fucked up his whole face. hubby had five in his lower lip when some fool pulled in front of him & his jag, but he was picking shrapnel out of his face for 6mos. and his lip was laid open like a biology project with just five!

i don't care for schwarzenegger & his Vichy dem chick, i've had enough of their hummers & media hype tying up the valet parking around my fav bars here...but there's something odd about this story.

with his profile & medical coverage they'd have had him straight into plastic surgery, no?

22. He's trying to ride a Segway
Mind you, I rode one of those things. The balance is fine tuned on that so it's almost impossible to fall off of the thing. Yet the idiot somehow manages to do so!
