12. It was an 11th grade kick

They all went to different schools but ultimately they were all tuba players. A few tromboniests tossed in there too. But ultimately it was an Alto Saxophonist that stole my heart.

Obviously I was a band geek but I was the anti-band geek. I loved the music and I had fun meeting with people from other schools but I couldn't stand the idiots in my own high school band. Oh, we had a great teacher too

9. I don't know about overrated, but I sure wouldn't want to live near

aspiring members of either of these groups. Nothing like having to hear someone practice their tuba chops! Although I do recall sharing a dorm room for a while with a guy who would practice chromatic scales on the electric guitar every day...that was also pretty amazingly painful.
