I do. :7

I'm probably the only one who does this, right?? Sigh.

28. Yeah, right.
well, at least YOU know how to post pictures.
I still haven't managed that one yet. Sigh...
I'm technically challenged, although I've got all the right equipment and have had the appropriate websites recommended.

Oh, woe is me.

2. No, my dear Shine, you are NOT the only one!
For instance, my pin on purses thread was directly taken from what happened at the store...

As I was walking out to my car, I was thinking wickedly to myself that this would make a very fun thread!

And, as you saw, it was a lot of fun!

:loveya:

6. I suspect that's why I don't start many threads
I have to be in the mood, and some stuff is just too idiosyncratic, I guess.

8. What's interesting to me is to see what sort of threads capture
the collective attention of the lounge....which ones tend to stick close to the top, like that...

Anyway, I agree with you about having to be in the mood and sometimes NOT wanting to spend the time hashing one the minutaie of one's life....It ALL takes time, afterall.

However, it doesn't seem to stop a lot of others, though, does it?? heheh. People seem to have a lot of time on their hands....

I was so busy with work and family stuff in the fall that I didn't have much time to post. I suspect if I worked in an office, I would never post, ironically enough!

11. Nah, Shine you are not alone
We all have things in our lives that strike us as odd, funny, tragic -and then wonder what other DUers will make of it.

Anais Nin said the more personal you are the more universal you become. About her diaries. She was right.

I've met a lot of cool DUers because I posted something dumb that happened or something I was having difficulty with. People saying, "that happened to me too" or "I had a similar experience" or just laughing/crying with me.

We really are all one :)

Khash.

17. You are exactly right, khash.
You are wise and I have come to appreciate your posts.

I am currently reading Deepak Chopra's latest book, The Book of Secrets, in which he speaks of the very thing you mentioned: We are not in the world, the world is in us.

Everyone is a creator. The mystery of how all these individual viewpoints somehow mesh, so that your world and mine can harmonize, is the very thing that makes people seek spiritual answers. For there is no doubt that reality is full of conflict but also full of harmony. It is very liberating to realize that as creators we generate every aspect, good or bad, of our experience. In this way, each one of us is in the center of creation.

And in that way, we are, indeed, ONE.

13. Well, a) I HAVE a life. 2) The Lounge is a temporary source
of amusement, not the nucleus around which I base my existence. and d) I come equipped with a "self-editing" feature (also known as "Spam-b-Gone") which automatically sends painful impuses to my typing fingers should I get the urge to post about, oh, say, what I had for lunch today, or unamusing, witless copycat threads, or pointless "LOOK AT ME!!!!" attention-whoring pleas.

I suppose this makes me special.
