I'm starting a death metal marching band.
Edited on Mon Jan-09-06 02:50 PM by Beware the Beast Man
I even have a working band name: Death March (lame, I know).

By default I am the conductor/drum major.
I need woodwinds, brass, percussion, everything. What can you play?

on edit- if any trumpet players can emulate Tom Araya's scream in "Angel of Death," that would be a plus!

I haven't touched my trumpet in about 10 years - I'd probably sound like the *scream* if I even tried to play it!

Not too hard to replicate. The drum holds itself up.

I am trying to picture what they would wear.... I always wanted to be in the marching band, but I only played piano. Somehow I suspect I would never fit into a death metal version.

plus, there might be a really amusing video in this concept, BWTBM.

21. You might need a soprano sax for the scream.
I don't think a trumpet is high enough.

24. May I join?
I used to play the trumpet, baritone, tuba, French horn, mellophone and flugelhorn.
I can also play a bugel.
I was all-state in jazz trumpet so I could give it a shot.
