Poll question: Bode Miller...yet another over-rated US Olympic hopeful?
After This, and after this race, and his current standings, will Bode Miller be another US flop in the Alpine skiing disciplines?

1. What a jerk
You have so many great skiers whose careers were stopped because of injuries (Picabo Street, the Italian female skier whose name escapes me, Jill Kinmount, etc.), who would give anything to have their earlier physical abilities back... then you have this guy, who thinks it's cooler to act like a fratboy than to respect himself and his teammates. Boo.

2. I watched the FIS coverage from Adelboden, CH (GS)
and during his second run, he was just lollygagging down the mountain. Even the announcers were saying that he had no passion for the race, he's doing the sport a disservice, etc.

Meanwhile, you have Ligety, Schlopy, and Knight who are just pouring on the coals, giving it their all.

3. Yup, exactly -- I hate team members who tank it
It si so unfair. Lots of kids with talent and fire in their belly would KILL to be in Turin.

4. Another Lance Armstrong, Bode is not.
Lance really inspired people to the sport of cycling and the act of charitable giving/community service. Bode is a self-centered a-hole.

BTW,this poll is really flopping, isn't it?

7. Nah, I think it's more than that.
Skiing drunk is only a symptom of his disease, namely apathy for the sport. A lot of people would give their left nuts to be in his shoes, and he just goes about acting completely disinterested (and downright disrespectful) in being an Olympian.

8. I saw him on 60 minutes, he seems to have a firm grip on reality
As for a good ol' komakaze work ethic towards his craft I believe he won't have that.
