Is the Right to Party written in the Constitution? The Bible? |
|
Which Article is it in? The young "men" upstairs seem to think they have a god-given right to party until 5:00 a.m. on the weekends and I'm a monster to object. Not only was I never able to keep drinking or conversing that long at their age, it's even less enjoyable to listen to it at age 50. Drunken conversation gets completely bizarre at 5:00 a.m. I should start transcribing it into a surrealist novel.

I need to find a new planet without college boys, just moving across the city won't do it.

Judicial opinion, however, recognizes a fundamental right to party implicit in the Fourth Amendment.

1 am, on a weekday, and we are awakened to the telltale "wooooo!!!!!"
My 6'3", 230# SO who is damn scary looking when he's pissed (especially when he's unshaven and has bed head) got dressed and let the boys upstairs know that they needed to SHUT THE FUCK UP NOW.
I am moving in a couple months. Wooooooo!

I don't know if I'm going to make it. I asked the landlord to let me out of it early and he refused. If I make it to the end without killing someone, I'll be surprised.

Because if they start taking ideas from that, you'll look back at their current behavior as pleasant

13. Yes, it's in the Bible, but... |
|
not if it interferes with other people in such a way as your situation. I do seem to remember something in the Bible about being joyful and something about feasts and partying somewhere in there, but I would think people would find a way to do it quietly if they are honoring their chosen "God" just to be respectful of others.
If it is interesting enough conversation to write a book, then by all means, build a nice plot line around it, and go for it. Many great writers take from everyday situations to write some of the best stories.

15. My reading is that partying is forbidden. |
|
The only partying as we understand it in the modern sense of the term is the scene when Moses descends from the mountain with the tablets to find the Hebrews worshipping the golden calf. And God wasn't down with that at all.

brought up by and taking my aunt's advice. Jesus was a party animal, in a good way. He was constantly preparing food as only he could, and hanging out with people. What else is partying, but eating, drinking and being merry with yer homies?
