17. You're prolly still digesting the last ones you ate.
You might wanna give 'em another five years to clear your system. But that's not medical advice, you understand; just the voice of experience from one who has eaten grits.

25. Chicken fried steak and gravy will not freeze well, I have tried that.
It is easy to make, just takes a little practice. I usually buy gravy in a bottle but tonight I made it.

The meat has to be very tender, I beat it myself. Then it is just egg and flour coating, like fried chicken. I like peanut oil but vegetable oil is good to, the secret is to cook it in a deep fat fryer.

If you can make lasagna you can make chicken fried steak.

32. The nearest one to us is Tracy.
Far enough away that it isn't THAT tempting, isn't it?

There are a bunch in the Modesto to Merced area too.

It would be a reason to drive to Tracy now and again. Thankfully I would have to make the effort - not just hop on down to McDonalds!!

19. Never been to Sonic.
I don't even think they have one in west-central Minnesota...maybe they have one in the Twin Cities?

Anyways, do they have good food? How do they compare to Burger King, Hardees, et al?

31. We don't have 'em up here, unfortunately
and there's only a couple Hardees left in the Twin Cities, too (although that's probably a good thing-- I once managed one of those, and I will never eat there again).

34. Better.
It's all made fresh when you order it and the burgers are huge.
Get a fountain drink(they have Coke products and you can have flavorings added to them) and an order of chili-cheese fries w/ jalapenos.
