Good Tuesday Morning, Everyone!
:donut::hi:
I hope all you Nighthawks have had a great night! Captain Clintmax of The Early Morning Crew with you now and I have a feeling it's going to be a great day! :bounce: I hope YOU'RE doing good and are ready to get this day started with me!

I'm off work tomorrow so, of course, I'm looking forward to going to work, coming home and having a day off. I had planned, on Sunday, to get this Disaster Area I call my apartment cleaned up, but I procrastinated long enough that it didn't get done. Sooo...tomorrow is the day. After I have my morning with YOU of course!

1. G'day Clint - lucky you having the day off !!
But of course what awaits you at home (cleaning) just sucks big-time.

My advice - get in and do it all in one hit - it'll go quicker than you know. Otherwise - enjoy the time off !!!

5. Yes mate - still hot and humid here in BrisVegas
lightning shows and thunderstorms nearly every night since Christmas, with hail thrown in for effect.

I've been doing just great thanks - it's January 10 and work already blows - what the rest of the year is gonna bring is anyone's guess. Hope you and Greekspeak are well ??

Thank you! I would LOVE to come live in Australia for a year to experience the place. That is, after living in Rome, Italy for a year.

12. The main difference between here and the U.S. is the lack of people
Australia is as large as the continental US (48 states) yet there's only about 20.1 million people, compared with 300(?) million there.

That's the thing I notice every time I go over to the US - it's so much busier. Not that it's a bad thing, but it's always nice to come home. The flip side - you have so much more to choose from in the way of consumer goods.

Oh well........:)

18. Consumer goods...
What...no Best Buy's or Comp USA's in Australia? You know what I missed when I visited Rome? Fountain Drinks. With ice, no less. I would have to live in the largest city if I lived there. I couldn't live in the back country or anything.

25. We have our own versions of those stores, but the range isn't as extensive
I'm talking about Cheetos, Welch's grape jelly, Cinnabon, my size in jeans (think svelte -) or any pants for that matter, Dentyne, Cream of Wheat or grits, Masterpiece barbecue sauce.

That's why I pig out and stock up whenever I come to the US - but that's the price I pay for living here - so be it !!!!

but sometimes I miss the things I grew up with and the new things I discovered on trips back. And the US has great cuisine too - my sister in SF is always taking me out to new places, and I've discovered some nice places in New York - I think I gotta get out more.........

6. Depends on when I get in.
We have semi-flexi-time here.

Normally I aim to work 9-5, but today was a tad bit lazy and didn't get in until half past nine, so I'm here until half past five. Tomorrow I've got to dash into town after work, so I'll be aiming to do half eight to half four.

8. Flexible hours is good!
Mine are set. We have to be at the store at a specific time to get it ready to open. We only get 30 minutes for lunch, unlike in Rome where everything closes for two hours at noon. I wish WE did that!

10. That's one advantage of not facing the public.
They need folk to be around all of the time.

I do like the Italian idea of lunch - and also the whole 'close everything down throughout August' idea as well. La dolce vita - a very well chosen phrase.

43. Lots of places have English tours.
I remember the Duomo in Florence had an excellent programme, students from across Europe were giving free tours in their various languages. Obviously they had a deal of something like, free accommodation in return for giving tours. They had a box for donations (obviously) but didn't actively solicit them or anything like that.

Actually...tomorrow is my day off. I have to go in today from 9 to 5, but the day shift always goes by so quickly, so I'm glad I get to open today.

How the hells are YOU doing?

*singing* "Everywhere I go...you know...I'll take you with me, sweet darling..."

71. Just super...
Thanks for asking :) and doing fabulous as ever. Boyfriend bought me Season 1 of 'Fat Actress' last night so I'm going to chill at home and watch it today.

I'm debating on whether or not to go anywhere today. If the weather is nice, a few friends invited me to go rollerblading with them in the park this afternoon so I might do that. Armani Exhange is having a sale today I think, might check that out too. I also need to get my hair highlighted again, but might put that off till tomorrow.

*singing* Cotton candy, sweet and low, let me see that tootsie roll! Yeah, Tootsie Roll...

60. Mornin' Clint
Yes, I think you're right, it's going to be a good day. I was very productive yesterday, and I suspect that mode will continue.
Glad you've got tomorrow off, but I know that you have to work weekend days too. Have fun cleaning your apartment, I don't envy you that job.

61. Morning, SimplyF!
:hi:
I hope that mode DOES continue for you! Yes, retail schedules suck. I have the cable guy coming out tomorrow to check out my cable modem and line. I've been having some packet loss problems and they are annoying as hells, so he's coming tomorrow to fix it. I'll be cleaning this place between times.

68. Good morning to ya!
Yeah, I like days of the week that start with "T" It's good to see you this morning, Clint! :loveya:  I did a lot of cleaning, well, straightening around the house last night after work. I need to do some more this evening. A lot of the time I have evening meetings or activities (like choir practice on Wednesdays) so it is really great to have two consecutive weeknights to be at home. I may watch an episode of Bewitched on DVD. That was my favorite Christmas present this year!

72. Morning, Swimboy!
:hi::hug::loveya:
It's always good to see you here too! Bewitched is one of my all time favorite shows also! I'm going to have to go get the seasons on DVD too! There is no doubt about that! I always wondered why Darrin forbad Sam from using her powers all the time...what an idiot! If we were to have those DVD's, Greekspeak and I would have Bewitched nights and watch episode after episode!

79. There, there now.
How could it be a good morning if you are put out with me? I had time for only one good morning early this morning and had the good breeding to speak first to our host, just minutes before his departure, in fact.

I thought I heard you stamp your foot as I was walking to the bus and I reminded myself I should remedy this as soon as I could get to my office (and get my coffee, let's be reasonable).

But take you for granted? Never! :loveya:

80. I couldn't be irritated with you even if I tried as hard as possible.
:loveya:

And I certainly couldn't manage to say good morning to folk before coffee, so you're already ahead of me.

Hope that your day's full of wonder and joy.
