Katrina Survivors et al. PLEASE Check In Here! Need info/link help!
(Have also posted this in GD)

merh posted the KatrinaUnderground site:

http://www.boomdesign.no/ku/index.php

and I sent it to many people I know...even those who are trying to sustain a belief that BushCo was a good vote for them to make.

One of the people I sent the KatrinaUnderground site to is a wrapped in the flag Republican ideologue. However, the KatrinaUnderground site opened up conversation, and apparently it now comes out that she is extremely pissed about the failure of FEMA and also the fact that so many survivors who are NOT NOLA are being ignored. She ASKED! for info that is not mainstream media because she wants to know more.

Do you have bookmarked links to the FEMA stories and the why of what has not happened, as well as what is happening in in the lives and daily survival of those in the Gulf states? Links to YOUR accounts and updates would be very helpful in sharing, too.

When I emailed her this AM that if she were interested in really knowing more about it all, she emailed this reply:

"I would be honored to put it out there.......people might do something, if they just knew the truth about it!!!
and you know our gov't won't be the ones telling it!"

So, am asking for your input, and any input from any DU'er, for links and personal accounts. I know also that there are DU'ers who have been able to give their time to those recovering from Katrina as well.

MUCH Thanks in advance. :hi:

For each person we give the truth to, there are more with whom they will share. It's going to take a lot of time and effort, but the truth about the disaster that is our government, which in turn allowed for the aftermath of Katrina, will come out.

4. Here is a literary masterpiece posted on DU today

from someone who has visited after the fact. It's long but well worth the time it takes to read it. It's an amazing firsthand account of what it was like afterward. It isn't directly related to events beforehand, but it reveals another very important truth involved in this whole fiasco.
